Santana scored 3 runs in the bottom of the 1st and never looked back as the Sultans beat Scripps Ranch 7-1 on Thursday afternoon. The home win evened Santana’s record to 3-3. Davin Burroughs led off the bottom of the first by getting walked. Burroughs advanced to 2nd on a wild pitch and then advanced to third on a single by Ben Hart. Brandon Glowacki boomed a double to left to knock in Burroughs that put runners on 2nd and third. After 1 out, Cole Contreras go hit by a pitch to load the bases. Then with 2 outs, Aiden Donavan got on base by an E-5 that brought in 2 more runs. Santana scored once in the 3rd inning to go up 4-0 and then put the game out of reach with a 3 run 4th. Hart led off the 4th with a single. Two outs later, Contreras singled to right to move Hart over to third. Contreras hustled to 2nd on the throw. Sean Iverson clutched up with a shot to left center to knock in two runs and then scored on a single to center by DH Aiden Donavan. Ben Hart threw 6 strong innings for the Sultans to win his second game of the season. Ben gave up 4 hits, 2 walks and struck out 5 Falcons. Ryan Jaggard cleaned up by pitching a scoreless 7th. The Sultans take on St Augustine Friday in a 3pm game at Hickman Field
