Boys Varsity Baseball · Baseball Upsets #4 Santa Fe Christian Behind Rylie Hamilton’s Near Perfect Game

Senior pitcher Rylie Hamilton was one out away from the CIF History books taking a Perfect Game on the mound into the last inning of yesterday’s D2 CIF Playoff game.  Rylie recorded the first two outs and was one out away when Santa Fe Christian got a single to break up the Perfect game.  In all Hamilton recorded 20 outs in a row without a player reaching base, he threw a complete game shutout giving up 2 hits in just 76 pitches to help lead the Sultans to a 3-0 victory.  When asked about his performance Hamilton said, “I am just glad the team won and that we are one step closer to our goal of getting back to the CIF Championship.”  Santana now plays Friday at 3:30pm vs #1 Classical Academy with the winner advancing to the Semi-Finals.  Below please check out the article about the game on by Adam Paul (Santana Alumni).
