Boys Basketball will be trying out On Saturday November 3rd. 9th and 10th graders will go from 10am – 11:30am in the Gym. 11th and 12th Graders and Varsity returners will go from 11:30am – 1:00pm in the Gym. Former Santana Girls Soccer Standout Alyssia Anuat Class of 2018 is off to a great start in her freshman year of college playing soccer for Abilene Christian University in Texas. Playing D1 soccer at the college level was always a dream of Alyssia and we are very proud of our former Sultan.
Valhalla High School is hosting a free youth heart screening provided by the Eric Paredes (PRONOUNCED: pah-RED-ez) Save A Life Foundation on Sunday, November 4 from 9 am to 3 pm. Heart screenings are not a regular part of youth exams, even though it’s estimated that 1 in 300 youth have an undetected heart condition that puts them at risk
Congratulations to Ashlee Welch on her amazing golf season. Ashlee medalled having the best score in three matches this season. The ladies of the Purple Tennis Nation closed their regular season on Thursday night with a 16-2 win against Mount Miguel. Girls Volleyball is off to an amazing start to this years season beating El Cajon Valley yesterday 3-0 on Senior Night. The girls volleyball team has an overall record of 15-7 and currently 5-1 in league play. CIF power rankings have the girls ranked 5th in division 4. Keep it up Sultans!
Santana back on September 27th hired a new girls basketball head coach Jordan Franey. Franey is a former player of HOF Santana coach Wade Vickery and she helped lead the lady Sultans to the CIF Championship in 06.
